The UCLA Film & Television Archive’s “Art of Light” series will put two of this year’s ASC Award honorees, cinematographers Jack Green, ASC, and Donald McAlpine, ASC, ACS, in the spotlight in February.

Green will discuss his work on Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven (1992) following a screening of that picture on Feb. 11, and McAlpine will discuss his work on Bruce Beresford’s Breaker Morant following a screening of that picture on Feb. 12.

Both events will be held in the Billy Wilder Theater at the Hammer Museum, 10899 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, and will begin at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $9 each (general admission) and can be purchased at the box office. Tickets can also be purchased online for $10 each at www.cinema.ucla.edu.

At the ASC Awards, on Feb. 15, Green will receive the 2009 ASC Lifetime Achievement Award, and McAlpine will receive the 2009 ASC International Award.
