Richard Edlund to join 8/17 panel on Adam Beckett

Richard Edlund, ASC, will participate in a panel discussion about the work of the late animator and visual-effects artist Adam Beckett, whose credits included "Star Wars," on Aug. 17 at the Academy's Linwood Dunn Theater, 1313 Vine St., Hollywood, at 8 p.m. The event will include screenings of several of Beckett's short films, which were recently restored by the Academy Film Archive and IotaCenter.
