Cinematheque to Honor Willis in July


SANTA MONICA — The American Cinematheque is programming a 10-film tribute to the late Gordon Willis, ASC, at the Aero Theatre, 1328 Montana Ave., from July 18-30.

The tribute, cosponsored by the ASC and American Cinematographer, will feature introductions by writer Jon Boorstin and Willis' daughter, Susan Willis-Powers (July 18), and ASC members John Bailey (July 25) and Richard Crudo (July 30).

The program includes four double features, and all screenings will begin at 7:30 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

July 18: Manhattan and Annie Hall

July 25: All the President’s Men and Klute
