Victor J. Kemper, ASC receives Lifetime
Achievement Award at Pune International Film Festival

PUNE, INDIA, January 16, 2006 –Victor J. Kemper, ASC received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Fourth Annual Pune International Film Festival. This marked the first time the festival presented a tribute to a cinematographer. Kemper was honored for his contributions to advancing the global art of filmmaking. He has compiled some 60 narrative film credits, including such classics as The Candidate, Dog Day Afternoon, They Might Be Giants, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, The Gambler and The Eyes of Laura Mars. Lifetime Achievement Awards were also presented to actress Dr. Vyjayantimala Bali and producer-director Yash Chopra for their contributions to the Bollywood film industry. Some 130 narrative films and documentaries from 35 countries are vying for honors at the festival, which runs through January 19.
