I loved this Joshua Bell video when I first saw it. I wonder how many moments of beauty I have ignored in my lifetime. Ignoring a chance encounter with spontaneous beauty is worse than not recognizing it, but think of all those people who passed by Joshua Bell and immediately made the judgement: playing for tips = "can be ignored". The context, not the art is being judged. Which reminds me of the person who submitted the script of "Casablanca" under a different title and had it rejected my top studio heads who didn't even recognize it.
