For the 80th Anniversary of American Cinematographer the editorial team decided to update the classic Lewis Physioc, ASC 1922 cover. They enlisted the help of Digital Domain, Panavision and costume from the film Armageddon to create an updated homage using today's photo-realistic visual effects techniques.

A limited number of commemorative posters were created to celebrate eight decades American Cinematographer.
